PALATE

Cinsault – Mourvèdre blended wines are made from two dark-skinned grape varieties used in the production of red and rosé wines in southern France, most notably the southern Rhone, Languedoc, and Provance regions. The blend tends to favor Mourvèdre in higher proportions due to its dark fruit and spice flavors, with Cinsault augmenting the aroma profile with its floral notes of roses and perfume.

SHORT NOTE

Cinsault and Mourvèdre add spicy, floral, red cherry, and subtle smoky flavors when blended. The addition of Cinsault softens otherwise bold and alcoholic red blends and makes it more suitable for early drinking.

LONG NOTE

Red blends made with Cinsault are ideal for rich and hearty dishes, including barbeque, grilled meat, roasts, mushrooms, and herbaceous dishes.
